Facebook could revolutionize the world of augmented reality with its new bracelet prototype. The latter is able to interact with a neural interface through simple thinking, just by making a hand gesture.
Facebook clearly wants to strengthen the bonds between man and machine. The company is currently working on a wrist-shaped neural interface.
A nerve signal is nothing more than an electrical signal. To perform a gesture, your brain sends this message to muscles to tell them to contract. However, any message can be intercepted. This is exactly the idea behind Facebook's science fiction project.
Instead of sticking a chip directly into the skull as NeuraLink wants it to do, Facebook wants to detect and decode these electrical signals and transmit the correct motion to a device.
No need to move, just think!
